Sitting on the rocks making this drawing is a reminder how important it is to dedicate the summer months to plein-air work, even if it's just sketching. I must impose a new rule ... to make at least one plein-air sketch a day and to fill the small Fabriano sketchbook I started last year and seem to have abandoned for the past few months. There's no place more magical than the bay and these glorious summer days will fade. The green pencil was picked randomly from a pencil case of coloured pencils. This one is a Derwent Inktense in Teal Green (1300). Superb quality and I didn't use water, because I only checked the pencil type after the drawing!
