Mum’s bougainvillea. In the frantic rush getting out to Greece I didn’t pack a camera. I actually didn’t think my mum would survive her injuries. She’s doing really well. Her resilience is truly inspiring. She’s not out of the woods yet as there’s a risk of brain haemorrhage. I’ve had to overcome my needle phobia to give my mum a daily anti-coagulant injection into her stomach. It’s amazing what you can do when your mother’s life depends on it
