Was over the moon that Amy shared yesterday's painting on her Instagram page. Over 4,000 likes doesn't seem real. Thrilled my positivity painting was seen by so many. One of the comments said they could see a female nude in it. Possibly fantasy eyes or a funny line, but that got me thinking 'what if ...'. So today I combined a photograph by Charles Nègre. I've been using the digital equivalent of double exposures for many years; a result of enjoying making these (analogue) in a dark room while at college. I loved combining two images, thereby changing the context of each. Also the thrill of serendipity. Photography is my first passion but painting is a challenge my stubborn nature wrestles with. Combining the two is possibly my favourite process, so thank you to Mozart1tg for reminding me to play with this process again
