I have decided to focus on colour for a while as I have started to use oils again. These rock forms are painted on wood panel, size 30 x 24cm. It's a great size to experiment with and of course there are stacking forms. This is a motif in my work. I'm not sure where this visual propensity comes from. I don't ask many questions during the act of painting but am full of questions once I have finished. This painting will be exhibited with The Pearls, a collective of 20 northern female painters. We are heading to Terrace Gallery in London where each of us will show one painting each. It is fantastic being part of a group and the other painters are supportive, fun and with a huge amount of experience and intellect.
