Organs: We've had wall-to-wall sunshine for weeks. It must be punishing for the spring plants, the grasses and trees. Usually at this time of year, there are muddy puddles to negotiate but the ground is bone dry. I guess this image reflects that, although it wasn't my intention when taking this photograph. All I was doing was immersing myself in the environment, keeping an open mind. Playing and observing, becoming seamless with this ever-shifting coastline. I am drawn back to the evolving forms series (see year 2020). Current scientific belief is that rocks and minerals played key roles in virtually every phase of the emergence of life on our planet. They have also encapsulated and shown us life forms that existed millions of years before we evolved, effectively becoming stone vitrines, inadvertent shrines and coffins.
