Taking a deep-dive back into sketchbooks. This is a drawing of Heysham Nuclear Reactor II, the perimeter footpath and one of the seawater cooling outlets. I've missed drawing. The simplicity, focus and unburdened spontaneity. The two nuclear power stations will be decommissioned within the next 20 years and the monumental structures that have dominated the landscape and docks will be dismantled. It's hard to imagine how the area will look 50 years from now. The site will remain contaminated for thousands of years. Considering this, I'd want to account for that fact if I make this drawing again
