The prevailing westerly winds here bring a perpetual conveyor of weather direct from the Atlantic. The clouds move west to east (rarely east to west). I've been obsessed with the weather, and in particular clouds, since childhood. I used to make shoeboxes with painted backdrops in front of which I dangled cut out clouds on bits of cotton. I also made weather indicators with all types of weather painted onto a cardboard strip. This was then threaded behind a window so you could change the weather according to the day. So I suppose it's no surprise I somehow ended up living here right on the coast. The obsession never faded. Today's image is a double cyanotype I processed at home and toned to black and white.
