Last year I began a series of watercolours inspired by the light here and the linear ribbons of hovering colours out in the bay at low tide. As the years roll by I appreciate that admonishing myself for seemingly not being able to stick to just one thing, is down to a need to respond emotionally to time, place and circumstance. It's the reason my creative output is constantly shifting and evolving. Everything and every day is a work in progress. So instead of attacking myself for these multiple working methods, I'm learning to embrace the free-flowing spirit and adaptability of my practice. As I write these words, that pretty sums of my life. It's all making sense!
