Revisiting the work made over the last year, it's more apparent to see the link between the photography and watercolours. It's not a deliberate interpretation of sea, sky and weather here but walking on the shore you must absorb the scenes somehow. Even if you don't paint that day, the amalgamation of many days seem to gather momentum until there's a reemergence in another form. In this case, a watercolour. It's always a spontaneous action and feels remarkable every time, as if there is no separation whatsoever from the elements and oneself. The same life-force sailing from the outdoor elements through and into the body and then back out again.
