I’ve really got to grips with the Leica Q2. It’s taken a year of experimenting and note-taking. For some reason if you shoot on Auto, the photographs are mostly blurred. I suppose it’s a good thing as this has forced upon me a great deal of learning. And I am overjoyed with the entire journey. Photographing flowers has to be one of the most rewarding pastimes. The conditions have to be just so. Photographing flowers in breezy conditions using macro settings is a complete waste of time. Any slight movement ruins the shot. Then there’s the light, along with the time of day. So much to consider. This is raw out of the camera, with no editing. I do set myself the hardest of tasks but a life of learning is the best life lived.
