Defying the confinement of four straight sides. I have no idea why painting is so compelling, but it is, so I should stop beating myself up questioning it. Painting makes me a better person. A contented person doesn’t get addicted to drugs, alcohol or food, a contented person doesn’t hanker for material possessions, a contented person has a good vibe (one hopes). A contented person isn’t malicious or gossipy. A contented person doesn’t resent other peoples’ successes or joys. A contented person is simply fulfilled and thankful for another day to live and explore
