Continuing with these mathematic drawings and photographs. Need to do a lot more research on plant names. This was photographed at RHS Wisley in the glass house. There was no time to photographs the plant labels as the glass house was packed. I have a good number of plant/flower books but if you don’t know where to start, it’s like looking for a needle in a hay stack. I am noting how much more engaged I am when it comes to plant life. Far more than the sea and cloud paintings, which are just surface experiments. Marine life would be equally as rewarding to study, photograph and observe. There’s an engagement and focus when drawing or painting plants and flowers, so perhaps it’s time to narrow down my practice to this alone. Being the proverbial kid in a sweetshop when it comes to creative output, is not easy!
