'Concrete Wave' - There's a curved boundary wall on this coastline that rests on what I see as half a mile of concrete plinth. The man-made pinkish concrete, weathered by wind and sea has become a mirror of that which has shaped it, now resembling a wave. I think about how we too are shaped by our environment and how we mirror what we see and are influenced by, and how people behave toward one another. It becomes so important to hold the mirror you yourself would like to see reflected back. I love the mix of concretes in this particular place. The different tones and textures. There's always something new to see, a different perspective, a nuance, something familiar and yet changed.
