An afternoon on the bay with sketchbook and watercolours. In search of excitement I made my way down a relatively steep cliff onto Fairy Chapel Bay. There are many large rockfalls there and a fascinating cliff face where you can see time defined by nature. Layers and layers of strata that are geometric in places and that curve around the bay. It's not a particularly accessible beach - either a clamber down or foot soaking wobbly sands at low tide. I sat down on a large fallen rock 'chair' and made this little sketch. Something to remember the day's adventures by.
