Sometimes lovely prods come your way. In the best possible sense, I had one recently and am returning to the evolving forms series. This time combining them with heads. The heads were born during the weekly art workshops I ran for 9 years at Castle Craig Rehab Hospital in the Scottish Borders. The heads helped redirect tragic life stories so they would sit outside of my mind and perhaps unintentionally helped to visually explore the human condition. Overlaying subsequent paintings made a few years after retiring from the workshops, is a reminder of how much I miss working creatively with people. How painting helps to explore the person within.
