Delighted to have finally finished this piece. It's been on the go for two years. Until now I haven't had a useable studio space to complete it. With lockdown, I wasn't able to go to my Preston studio for almost a year. Am super satisfied with this one and will continue using horizontals and verticals. I was making paintings like this 17 years ago, the linear aspects being inspired by the bay, where you get these mile long bands of colour far out on the horizon. The interpretations for these pieces are about what the viewer sees. I see a 'car' and a 'rock' on the right hand side. Other people see what they see. It has always amazed me how differently we may all perceive a particular image.
